Boise State fans experienced another tough loss over the weekend. Mountain West Conference foe, San Diego State was in town and the teams were playing on the blue, in front of a near sell-out crowd. I think that makes the loss even worse--it's not often Boise State gives up a win on their home turf. Brett Rypien has had an amazing season prior to this game, throwing 0 interceptions--he made up for it in the first quarter, giving up several. It was tough to watch.

The Broncos now have two losses on the season and it isn't looking great for the teams hopes to get into a major end-of-year bowl game. To get that kind of attention, they're going to need to win out the rest of the season, be extremely dominant, and have UCF (the top ranked non-power 5 team) take a few losses. That teams scheduled isn't looking very challenging, either.

As for the rankings, Boise State was only in the honorable mentions in the AP Poll, now they're nowhere to be found. In the Coaches/USA Today Poll, they've dropped from #24 to unranked and unmentioned.

What do you think? Are hopes for a major bowl game over for this years Boise State team?
