Boise State Hockey Raises Insane Amount of Cash For Local Charity
It was a big weekend all across the Treasure Valley. While the weather warmed up a bit (and no, we aren't trying to jinx it), characters like Bluey and The Smurfs invaded Nampa, a couple of concerts took place around Boise and yes--hockey took over the streets of downtown Boise!
A near sell-out crowd was in attendance on Saturday night at Idaho Central Credit Union Arena as Boise State hockey took on regional rival The University of Montana. Sure, the hockey game was fun--but what most walked away in awe of was the good works of both hockey programs.
The game aimed to 'Put Senior Hunger On Ice' -- the theme of the night drove fundraising efforts to Meals on Wheels Metro Boise, who is an amazing organization serving over 2,000 meals per day to seniors from Boise to McCall that need them!
Here is a closer look at the night!

What a huge success!
As the Hockey Club stated on their Facebook page:
Our 12th Annual “Putting Senior Hunger on Ice” game last night with Boise State Men’s Hockey Broncos taking on the University of Montana Grizzlies raised a smashing $42,500.00 for Meals on Wheels Metro Boise! That’s enough for 8,500 meals for our seniors and shut-ins living here in the Treasure Valley!
Well done Boise State Hockey and way to make the city proud!
