This year's Veterans Day Parade is a salute to women in uniform.

The Boise Veterans Day Parade will roll through the streets of Downtown Boise on Saturday, November 5th at 9:30 a.m.  Groups from Idaho universities, high schools, junior highs, you and civic organizations from all over the Treasure Valley will theme their floats in line with this year's parade vision of "a salute to women in uniform."

Both of this year's Grand Marshals are women in uniform themselves.  Colonel Stephanie L Sheppard, the 124th Mission Support Group Commander for the Idaho Air National Guard in Boise and Command Sergeant Major Linda R. Burkhart, the current Installation Support Unit of the Idaho Army National Guard Garrison Command Sergeant Major, have been selected as the Grand Marshals for 2016.

If you want to catch the parade it starts at 8th and Jefferson and will make it's way down Jefferson to 4th, turn south onto Bannock and west to 11th Street.
