UPDATE 2:07 PM - Boise State Director of Athletics names Bob Gregory interim head coach for which ever bowl game the Broncos get selected after the MWC standings are finalized at the conclusion of the Fresno State vs Utah State game Saturday night.

UPDATE 9:52 AM - University of Washington has confirmed that the Petersen Era has begun.  Coach Pete will return to "The Blue" for the Broncos season opener on either September 3rd or 4th 2015 when the Broncos face the Huskies.   Read the official welcome HERE.

UPDATE 9:12 AM - KTVB now reporting that sources have confirmed to their sports director Jay Tust that "it's done."  Still no official statement from either university.

According to ESPN, Coach Pete is will likely be named the new head coach of the Washington Huskies after former head coach Steve Sarkisian accepted the vacant head coaching position at USC.

  The report goes on to say that after meeting with Washington on Thursday, Coach Pete feels ready to leave the Treasure Valley for professional and family reasons and because he feels Washington is the right fit.  Over the past few years he's been connected to openings at several schools including UCLA and USC.

Coach Pete's resume at Boise State includes five conference titles and two BCS appearances at the Fiesta Bowl.  Going into whatever bowl game Boise State gets selected for, his record with the Broncos is 92-12.
