Bundy Back Behind Bars in Ada County

Perhaps Idaho's most well-known conservative activist is back behind bars at the Ada County Jail this afternoon.

You may know the name "Ammon Bundy".  He's been around stirring up attention for various initiatives for years and during the COVID-19 pandemic, he has really garnered a lot of attention. Bundy and those who follow his movement had, on multiple occasions, organized gatherings to protest decisions being made by local health authorities. During one instance, Bundy and his crew met at the Southwest District Health offices where they demanded to be let into the meeting. Meeting guidelines were clearly set--however some felt the need to push their way into the health district offices.

Another high profile incident with Bundy took place at the Idaho State Capitol Building, where he was arrested and given a trespassing violation.

Today, Bundy was due in court and now faces 'Failure To Appear' charges for refusing to wear a mask. According to sources familiar with the case, Bundy requested an in-person trial. Masks are required to enter the courthouse--so, one has to assume that Mr. Bundy knew what he would be getting himself into this afternoon.

I checked in on the Ada County Jail Roster and it appears that he was booked in at 11:00 a.m. this morning and as of 3:55pm this afternoon (Monday, March 15th) he is still in jail.
