Electric vehicles are becoming more and more common in the Treasure Valley. The hard part is finding a place to charge them.

Three charging stations have been added to the Capitol and Main parking garage, and another three will be added to the 9th and Front garage by mid-February.

The full cost of the project is said to be just over $22,000.

Idaho has made strides in the right direction since 2014, when Boise's first electric car charging station was installed downtown. There are currently eight other electric car charging stations within the Treasure Valley; two in the Lincoln Parking Garage at Boise State University, two at Hewlett-Packard, two in the parking garage at the airport, and one at an electricians' school in Garden City.
