America has done a phenomenal job of creating marketing campaigns around holidays. Green beer really has nothing to do with the origin of Saint Patrick's Day. I know this may come as a surprise but Cinco De Mayo in NOT Mexican Independence Day. Don't get me wrong I love celebrating Cinco with a margarita made using my favorite Mexican Tequila followed up by a Tecate light with a lime and then a Pacifico or a Dos X if I'm feeling like I can spare the calories. I can definitely partake in some carne asada tacos and some ceviche and I plan on doing all of that today at 5pm when our friends from Amano in Caldwell come in to be on the air with us.

Now the facts... Cinco de Mayo or the fifth of May is the day in which Mexico celebrates their victory over the French empire at the battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862.

Happy Cinco De Mayo... Bottoms Up.
