It's that time of year in the world of college football that the real winners and losers are sorted out. Sure, many teams have several large games remaining that could flip their entire trajectory around. However, as we are nine weeks in to the college football season, it's clear who is going to be contending for a lot and who may not contend for anything at all.

Take for example Boise State. With a returning defense that was garnering respect from publications and critics all across the country, many said this would be the year that the Broncos cracked back into a major bowl game. Now, with two losses on the season, that just isn't looking to be the case at all any more.

Last year, Boise State took on the reputable program from the University of Oregon and won with dominance in Las Vegas. The experts and the critics has drawn up how they project Boise State's post-season to look and it just isn't as appealing.

According to ESPN, the following options are what Boise State fans should expect:

  • The New Mexico Bowl -- Boise State vs. FAU
  • The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl -- Boise State vs. Western Michigan
