If you didn't hear what happened at the recent Chris Stapleton concert in Nampa, allow us to fill you in on what everyone is talking about.

During Chris Stapleton's concert at the Ford Idaho Center, Chris took the opportunity to introduce his band. The crowd cheered for every member, until it came time for Chris to introduce his keyboard player, who he announced is from California.

That's when the booing started.

Yes, many people in the crowd in Nampa took it upon themselves to boo another grown adult who they paid to see entertain them, simply because he's from another state.

Sure, we've all heard the punchlines about how "Idaho is full," and some people really make it a point to let others know they don't want Californians moving to Idaho, but this feels different.

Maybe it was the 'booze' that was behind the 'boos' ?

Should we as Idahoans be embarrassed by the crowd's behavior at the concert? Is this who we really are as a people? As Idahoans?

Are we at the point where we're feeling so hateful toward people from another state in our own country that we're willing to boo the same entertainers that we pay our hard-earned money to see?

This writer certainly hopes not.
