If you've been looking for a way to help those in need this holiday season, or maybe you aren't sure of the most effective way for your help to directly impact a local family...your answer is in Nampa!

I made a trip out today to support Kevin Miller from KIDO Talk Radio, who works just a few doors down from 103.5 KISS FM.

Miller's Mission is going on right now at the Walmart located on Franklin Boulevard in Nampa--my hometown--just up the street from the Ford Idaho Center (for directions, click HERE).

Drop by the Walmart, say hey to Kevin, and you can purchase a turkey inside to donate or make a cash or check donation as well. All donations are tax deductible so if you need a receipt for your end of the year write-offs, there are people there ready to help.

Turkeys and in-kind donations are all given to the Boise Rescue Mission, who makes sure what is brought in, is put to good use and kept right here for those in need in the Treasure Valley. It's an admirable operation.

You can donate up until 6pm on Saturday at the Walmart in Nampa--if you can't make it out, ask any area Walmart about "turkey bucks". For $15, turkey bucks at your checkout also go towards providing a turkey for those in need.
