Drake Drops Michael Jackson Collab From Tour Setlist: Report
According to Variety, the song was not a part of the kickoff show in Manchester on Sunday (March 10). Drake previously performed the record during 2018's Aubrey and the Three Migos tour. While the omission may simply be because Drake already tried the song once on tour and the song's not a major hit in his catalog, it could certainly also be a conscious decision following the airing of HBO's explosive, Jackson-centered documentary, Leaving Neverland.
In the wake of the child sexual abuse allegations levied against Jackson in the recent documentary, various rappers have declared their continued support for the famed singer, including Juice Wrld and T.I.
"Don’t just listen to one side and expect to find truth. Oh that’s right...Dead men can’t speak. So what was the point again? Destroy another strong black historical LEGEND?!?!" T.I. questioned. "It’s several examples of pedophilia in American History... if y’all pulling up all our old shit... we gotta examine ELVIS PRESLEY, HUGH HEPHNER,and a whole slew of others guilty of the same if not more!!! BUT WHY US all the time? There’s an agenda to destroy OUR CULTURE. #KingsThoughts."
Though Drake removed the Scorpion cut from his setlist, he added a new song to his list of tracks he's scheduled to perform on the tour. Watch Drake perform "Peak" for the first time below.
