Emmett Cherry Festival Opens This Weekend For Idahoans

You might be thinking Pridefest, X-Games, Father's Day traffic and what else could I spend my time doing? Maybe you want to leave the city and get away for a bit. Down for some cherries?

The 84th Annual Emmett Cherry Festival runs through this weekend and it promises to be "A Sweet Time."

I moved here 10 years ago and specifically remember this event on the calendar. It's crazy how these annual events have gotten lost in traffic. Look at the number of concerts coming through Boise. You want to move here and love concerts? You'll go BROKE this year! We have everything from Def Leppard, Logic, Maren Morris, Niall Horan to Luke Bryan and the UFC. WWE is back for its second time in two years. Those are just shows.

You might say it's "A Sweet Time" to leave the city for a few hours to visit Emmett as the Cherry Festival comes through this weekend. The only problem is there will be thousands attending this weekend as well. There will be no escaping traffic over the holiday weekend. You just get to decide if you wanna see anyone you know 🍒
