Flu Shuts Down Idaho School
I've spent the last couple of weeks hacking up a lung every time I want to laugh-- and it's the most annoying feeling ever. If you know me, you know that all I do is laugh. So basic logic would gather-- all I've been doing for the past two weeks has been coughing.
I haven't been this sick in a long time. While I'm starting to feel back to normal over the last couple of days, "it" is definitely going around, as everyone likes to say this time of year. So many friends and co-workers from all over the country have been describing the exact same feeling and illness I have had. It reminds me of that feeling you get as a kid when you stay home from school and you're just completely worthless--dead and bed-ridden.
This sickness going around seems to have taken a toll on one local school, that has completely shut down. The Kellogg School district announced that nearly 40 percent of children at the Pinehurst Elementary School have been absent due to sickness. Out of 442 enrolled students, 170 were out sick.
It seems whatever is "going around" really is doing just that.
