Food Recall in Idaho—Find Out If You’re Affected!
It's the absolute worst feeling. You're at home, unloading your groceries, when you get a pop-up on your phone:
Food Recall in Idaho—Find Out If You’re Affected!
Trust us, it isn't fun for us either. Don't worry, we'll fill you in to make sure you're safe.
What's been recalled?
Unfortunately, a couple really common food items. That is, if you're a regular shopper at Trader Joe's. Recently, the grocery giant recalled both numerous flavors of their Made Good Granola Bars, as well as Trader Joe's Organic Acai Bowls.
Both have been sold at Trader Joe's locations in Idaho recently.
Why the recall?
Well, this is the really unfun part. The food products aren't being recalled because they could make you sick, they're being recalled because they could absolutely ravage your insides if you're not careful. According to the recall:
Out of an abundance of caution, please discard any Trader Joe’s Organic Acai Bowls, as the product may contain foreign material (plastic), or return them to your neighborhood Trader Joe’s store for a full refund.
If you think you've purchased any of the above products, as stated, discard or return any items you're worried about. Eating plastic is not cool.

Unfortunately, this latest occurrence at Trader Joe's isn't an isolated incident. Not at all.
While it's impossible to keep up with every single safety update and product recall, we've done our best to compile some of the most widespread recalls and notices that are most likely to affect you.
Again, check your kitchen to see if any of these products are lounging around:
