Steakburgers, crispy shoestring fries, and Signature Turtle Sundaes are back in southeast Boise! In 2018, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers shut down it's location on Broadway Ave. for no known reason to the public. It was only open for less than two years and now two years after that, Freddy's is back and will be open for business at the same location (2143 Broadway Avenue) on Tuesday.

“Our teams work hard to provide a relaxing environment in the restaurant, focusing on cleanliness and quality service,” said Eric Stine, franchise owner. “We hope shoppers in the area and families in the nearby residential neighborhoods will stop by for a quick bite to eat and get a taste of what Freddy’s has to offer.”

The popular steakburger and custard joint isn't unfamiliar to the Treasure Valley. The re-opening of the Broadway location will be the 5th Freddy’s store in the Treasure Valley area, including Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and Caldwell.

While why don't know why this Freddy's shut down in the first place, it's also unclear what brings it back but hey, I'm not questioning it too much or complaining at all. Perhaps it has something to do with drive-thrus actually thriving during the pandemic as they are better able to meet consumer demands for contactless service, according to CNBC.

In addition to most other Treasure Valley spots, this new/old Freddy's also available on Door Dash for delivery and mobile ordering through the Freddy’s app. In post-pandemic and COVID-19 guideline days, the freestanding restaurant will be able to seat 86 guests and has additional seating on the patio. It will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant will stay open until 11 p.m.
