With a county-wide mandate for masks, comes a need for...masks.

As you know by now, Central District Health has announced that within Ada County, masks are now a requirement if you're in a public space and around other people. The motive, of course, is to try and crush that curve of rising COVID-19 statistics and cases here in the State of Idaho, particularly in the Treasure Valley.  Who would have thought, a year ago, that masks would be the THING to buy...here we are.

I noticed online now that there are ads for masks all over the place--some priced upwards of $12 each!  While team name, custom, and designer masks may be trying to be a thing...a simple mask will do best for many. If you can track one down.

Thanks to the Ada County Emergency Management crew, free masks will be available to local residents TONIGHT, Thursday, July 16th, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at:

  • Meridian Medical Arts Charter
  • Timberline High School
