I'm a sucker for two things: trying new foods and supporting local Boise businesses. Next weekend, you will have the chance to join me in doing BOTH of those things at the 37th Annual Boise Greek Food Festival.

This is a festival I have known about since I was a kid because my mom was always a huge fan. In fact, it was one of the guaranteed events she would make the "big drive in" from Nampa, where we lived, to Boise.

The good folks over at the Boise Greek Food Festival dropped by our office just the other day with some information and the best part: some desert samples. You can check out a picture of one of their goody boxes above. I tried one of each because, why not.  The Melomakarona was my favorite BY FAR. It's a spice cookie with walnuts and honey.

The festival is located at Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church (2618 W. Bannock, Boise) on June 1st and 2nd! For more on the event, click HERE.
