You can't throw a rock without seeing an article from California, Utah, and Oregon with a headline reading something like "5 Best Reasons To Move To Boise, Idaho!"

We've seen that a million times, and have grown to expect it. But why is a newspaper in Chicago encouraging its readers to relocate to the City of Trees?

"In this idyllic moment, I find myself pondering: Why has it taken me so long to visit Boise?"

It's taken time, but folks all across the country are finally learning what a diamond-in-the-rough Boise is, and they're happy to share their new discovery with all their readers. According to one driver of the Chicago Tribune, there are numerous reasons to give Boise a visit:

  • The food scene
  • The Basque Block
  • Trying Idaho wines
  • Exploring the Boise Green Belt
  • Freak Alley
  • Bogus Basin
  • The Capitol Building
  • & more

"Nestled against the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Boise strikes the ideal balance between outdoor adventure and urban amenities..."

You get the idea. Basically, they're just listing all the cool features about Boise that we've been privy to for years! We can't blame them, but if you're from the Boise area, all these features you've most likely already experienced, if not at least heard of them all.

Just know that if you do find yourself relocating to Boise, Idaho, not everyone is going to be friendly to you, no matter what you read online.

Recently, Idahoans made their disdain for Californians vocally known at a Chris Stapleton concert, and it wasn't pretty.

Maybe it was the 'booze' that was behind the 'boos' ?
