Over the last couple of weeks I've written a few articles about the " No waste list ". When I first found out about it, I was on a mission to let people know that such a list existed. A week later when I found out that Crush The Curve was booking appointments via their website and over the phone, I once again wrote about it.

At some point it dawned on me that I should try it for myself just in case there was an opening. I went through the rather simply process to sign up and next thing I know I got an appointment. Honestly I was a bit nervous about getting the shot, not because of side effects or all the things people say may happen i.e. growing extra body parts... LOL.

This may sound silly but I remember as a kid having a neighbor that was a nurse. My mom was friends with this lady and anytime we got sick instead of going to the clinic Mom would consult with this nurse and it seems like a lot of the time my siblings and I would end up getting a shot from this neighbor. Were they immunity booster shots? B-12 shots? Who knows? All that I remember is that those shots hurt... a lot!. As an adult I've also had my fair share of shots and most of them sting a bit but nothing too bad. All this anxiety fore nothing. Today when I got the shot I didn't feel a thing... nothing... not a sting, prick... anything! The whole process took about 3 minutes then I was given a timer and asked to wait for 15 minutes to make sure I didn't have any negative reactions. 4 hours later, I'm still feeling good and I'm glad I was able to keep 1 more dose of vaccine from going to waste.

The "No Waste List" works. If you want to get the vaccine and don't want to wait until your sub group is eligible, I highly recommend it.
