It's the holidays, Clark! Don't you want your house to be the prettiest on the block? The envy of all your neighbors? Bright enough to blind Craig across the street as he blocks the sidewalk every single day? Ugh, a girl can dream.

But, can you legally keep your Christmas lights on 24/7 on your house if you live in Idaho? Let's dig in.

I'm an Idahoan. It's my right to leave my Christmas lights on all the time if I so desire!

While we don't agree with you, we aren't the ones who make the rules. We're just radio DJs writing articles and trying not to blurt out curse words by accident.

So, depending on where you live, there could be a local law that forbids glaring holiday lights after 11 p.m., but that's only certain counties (like Cascade & Blaine). It's not so much about having Christmas lights turned on, but how bright they are. If they're completely blinding, and a total nuisance, odds are there's probably some law or rule somewhere that you're breaking. Will the cops pull up to confiscate your lights? Probably not. However, annoying your neighbors long enough will certainly result in them reporting you to the po-po.

Christmas lights? Sometimes, possibly illegal. The Northen Lights? Always a beaut, Clark. And always very, very legal to enjoy and check out:
