Today is a big day in the State of Idaho and with it comes a big goal: raising over $1 million in donations for local organizations and charities. If there is one thing that I have always loved and admired about our community, it has been its willingness to come together for a great cause. It doesn't take a disaster or an emergency to encourage folks here in the Treasure Valley to give--it's kind of who we are. I love that about us.

Today, however, is a big day as Idaho--our entire State--celebrates Idaho Gives Day! Today is a day that we're encouraged to give what we can to a charity or cause of our choice. I've been following along on Twitter all day to see how things are looking and it appears Idaho is right on track to reach (and potentially break) that goal! There are TON of charities and organizations in the Treasure Valley and across the state that are worthy of a donation of any size--but here are two of my favorites that I would encourage you to consider.

    Make A Wish of Idaho

I met this crew at Music On The Water about a year ago and I've stayed in touch since. I've never met such a great team of humans that all work toward such a cool cause. All of your donations go towards helping them piece together wishes for terminally ill children right here in our state. They do amazing work for these kids and their families and are more than worthy of your donation.

    Terry Reilly Health Clinic

I've known of Terry Reilly for my entire life and my mom was even on their Board of Directors for a while. These health clinics serve an extremely important role in our community: making health care affordable. They're a community-based health clinic that work to provide high quality health care.
