It's the absolute worst feeling on Earth.

You're at the bar with your friends, arguing over one of your favorite TV shows. Which episode was it where the character (did thing)? Nobody can remember!

So, you turn to the trusty internet on your phone to immediately come up with the answer. Then, silence.

Crickets.

That annoying spinning circle of your doom, trying to tell you "Hey, I'm going as fast as I can here!"

Spoiler: It's because internet speeds in Idaho are awful. Some of the worst in the U.S., actually.

Internet speeds in Idaho are slower than almost every other state in the country.

Now, these are average internet speeds, mind you. Your use may vary.

According to recent research, Idaho literally has the slowest average internet speed of any state in the country. Slower than Montana. Slower than Wyoming. Slower than Arkansas, even.

If you'd like to enjoy actual speedy internet, you'll want to visit states like Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey, who enjoy the fastest upload/download speeds in our great nation.

The only reasoning for slower internet our way? It's more difficult to expand broadband in rural and mountainous areas, just like Idaho. Or, at least, that's what the slow internet people keep telling us.

If you are enjoying swift internet speeds, what are y'all spending that bandwidth on? Well, we've compiled a list of some of the most-downloaded apps here in the states. We most certainly have questions.

Either way, here's the list! Hopefully your phone actually loads it.
