Police in Twin Falls are investigating a man ran his truck into his mother.

They are investigating on if he did it on purpose.

If that wasn't enough to make you think the guy is guilty, there's more to the story. Police are saying the man rammed his mother with his truck after an argument, crashed the vehicle while attempting to strike her a second time, and then proceeded to drive away from the scene. The 24-year-old man is being charged with aggravated battery with use of a deadly weapon. In this instance, the deadly weapon is his truck.

The woman who was struck by the vehicle (the suspect's mother) told police she and her son were arguing, and he wanted to leave. While doing so, he put his truck into reverse and ran her over. Her side of the story is that he did it on purpose. After the incident she was taken to the hospital; the extent of her injuries is not currently known.

The son's side of the story is he accidentally ran over his mother in his truck, panicked after doing so, and sped away from the scene.

The police's only involvement was intercepting the man and taking him into custody. Which ended up better than this story, in which a police cruiser was struck by another vehicle during an investigation. You can read more about that story (which happened just last month) here.

If he's convicted, the man could face up to 30 years behind bars.
