Idaho Man Steals From Walmart Using A Literal Crime Ring
The eighth commandment of the Jewish Torah teaches us "Thou shalt not steal."
Just so you know, that also counts even if you're tech-savvy and able to fool major grocery stores' barcode systems.
A man in Idaho was arrested after it was discovered he was using an actual crime ring to steal from Walmart.
Dylan Rockwell, 32, actually admitted to police that he had cracked Walmart's barcode system, and he was actively stealing from their Caldwell location.
How? It's like something out of a crime thriller. He had a barcode (for an inexpensive can of soup) on the inside of a ring he was wearing. At checkout, he was using his barcode instead of the barcodes on the items he was purchasing, and he got busted.
The perp was detained at his home, and arrested for felony burglary and misdemeanor petit theft. The Caldwell Chief of Police, Rex Ingram, had this to stay in a statement:
Sorry Mr. Rockwell, your tactics didn’t work this time but we appreciate your creativity. We know that times are tough but your ingenuity got you some county soup for dinner.
If you're looking for Rockwell for a ring fitting, he's currently chilling behind bars at the Canyon County Jail.
JK. Don't see him for anything ring-related.
