Idahoans Beware: FDA Recalls Medicine Over Risk of Blindness
What sounds like a scare tactic is actually shaping up to be a pretty scary reality--and the United State of America Food and Drug Administration, also known as the FDA, is hoping to get the word out quickly.
It isn't often that a recall impacts many people, as it seems that so often these recalls are very specific to a certain product with specific barcodes or serial numbers. We're used to hearing about these with produce or with vehicles.
Just this week, the United States Food and Drug Administration put out an urgent release that recalls several over the counter eye drops--many of which have been sold right here in Idaho.

Do you have any of these--or THINK that you have any of these? The risk isn't worth it, toss them out!
While this recall is nationwide and spans far wider than just here in Idaho, it seems like Idahoans love their eye droppers. In just the last few weeks the turning of seasons from Summer to Fall became an obvious shift for many and the dreaded "allergy" season kicked in--quick. Coughing, sneezing, and yes--eye moisturizing has been at an all time high.
Moral of the story, Idaho? Check. Those. Eye Droppers.
Eye infections and blindness are two risks we aren't willing to take.
