So often when you see an insane, buzzer-beating basketball shot, it's on the likes of ESPN's SportsCenter or a social media platform. Usually, it's in a land far away--a national team, a collegiate program in the middle of March Madness, and more!

How often do we get to see crazy, miraculous, and insane buzzer beaters here in the Treasure Valley? Not too often.

Now that everyone has a camera in their pocket at all times--it's much more common to see these moments that do happen and that is exactly what went on at a local gym over the weekend.

The game took place at Capital High School--district tournaments are in full swing for high school girls basketball and this elimination game had a lot on the line! Kuna and Mountain View were facing off--and with only seconds remaining on the clock, Mountain View High School's Demi Thompson Lopez knew she had to take a shot and it needed to count!

Down by 1 point, Demi nailed a half-court shot that ended up advancing Mountain View and the crowd goes absolutely wild!

Let's break down the play!

This Former Nampa Basketball Star is ESPN's Darling

It's not often that you see Sports Center re-run a single play as often as they did last night. The good folks at ESPN could not get enough of the dominating performance by one particular Texas Tech player who left it all on the court. His team defeated Baylor-- the defending National Champion and the only remaining undefeated team in the country this season.
Plot twist, this player has some serious Idaho ties-- with NO offers out of High School, Adonis Arms played in Nampa at Northwest Nazarene University where he gained the skill set and the reputation to make his way up to the big time stage.
