Is Your Presidential Vote In Idaho Available To The Public?
This November, all of us as Idahoans get to make our voice heard. We'll be casting our ballots for who we believe should be the next leader of the free world. That's our privilege as Americans.
But is everyone going to find out who you voted for?
Voter intimidation is happening this election cycle, in hopes that you may not vote for a certain candidate out of fear.
First thing to know, voter intimidation is prohibited by federal law. That means, if you get caught, you're in so so much trouble. So, you know, don't do that.
With that out of the way, can someone see who you voted for in Idaho? Is that public record? Is your vote out in the open after you cast it for your candidate of choice?
The only way someone can discover who you voted for is if you tell them.
Your vote is not accessible anywhere. Despite what you may have heard, or what some folks are hoping you believe, your vote is your vote, and it is private.
If you vote for Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, or Mickey Mouse, you're the only person who will truly know how you decided to cast your vote.
So, get out and vote!
