Something about vinyl--I couldn't tell you what it is, but it just excites me. One of my favorite things to do (especially on the weekends) is clean house and get ahead for the week with an album on my record player at home.  In fact, as I write this, I have the Drake "Take Care" album on my stereo system right now. I've always felt that songs just sound so much warmer when they come off of a vinyl record and as I have gotten older, I've made it a habit to pick up albums on vinyl to enjoy at home when I have the time.

Today is National Vinyl Record Day today and if you're a music lover like me, I'd totally suggest picking up a record today (if you have a player at home) or looking into adding one to your house. Listening to an entire album front to back--no skipping--to me, has always felt like an art.

Downtown Boise is home to one of the best record stores I've ever been to--the Boise Record Exchange. They've literally got everything you could think of, new and used on vinl and even CD. Best of all--it's a chance to shop local!

Happy National Vinyl Record Day, fellow music lovers!
