
Charlie Kirk Dead at 31 Following Shooting: REPORT
Charlie Kirk died Wednesday (Sept. 10), according to a statement by President Donald Trump. He was 31.
The controversial political figure and right-wing media personality died after being shot in the neck while speaking at a TPUSA event on campus of Utah Valley University during Turning Point USA's American Comeback Tour earlier this afternoon.
Kirk was rushed to Utah Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A shooting suspect has not yet been identified.
Trump announced Kirk's death in a statement published to Truth Social at around 4:40PM Wednesday.
Kirk's death was confirmed by news outlets such as CNN.
Charlie Kirk's Controversial Career Explained
Charlie Kirk was an American conservative political activist, author and commentator. He was best known as the founder of Turning Point USA, a nonprofit organization he launched in 2012 at the age of 18 that promotes conservative values on American high school and college campuses.
Kirk first gained national attention in the mid-2010s for his polarizing defense of conservative American values, often speaking at conferences, rallies and on college campuses, where he became known for his debates.

Throughout his career Kirk's activism drew both support and criticism from both sides of the political spectrum. Supporters praised his commitment to conservative principles, while critics accused him of spreading misinformation and promoting divisive rhetoric.
He was recently parodied on the 27th season of South Park, where he was portrayed by Cartman.
