No More Indoor Summers

According to the Hive, specialists in project management, most employees spend about 90% of their workday indoors. For those of us who have full-time jobs (and then some), it's just a part of life. But here's the thing: it doesn't have to be.

Living in a state with an outdoor playground as robust and beautiful as Idaho's is lends us an advantage our city-slicker friends don't have. No matter where you're at in Boise's Treasure Valley, you're never more than 20-to-30-minutes away from the foothills, trails, tree-lined river banks, and gorgeous forestry.

Ditch the Office & the Coffee House...Work Outside this Summer!

Over a recent three-day weekend, a bunch of us took to the outdoors to knock out our never-ending to-do list. Some of us were nose-deep in spread sheets, while others were writing articles or tending to tedious administrative tasks.

The workload was the same it would have been back at the office, but it didn't feel that way alongside the sparkling waters of a pond. We were happy. Armed with our hotspots, sunscreen, bug spray, camping chairs, water, snacks, and hand sanitizer to bring to the Porta-Potty, we had everything we needed.

Check Out Our New Favorite "Outdoor Office"

That's when we realized working outdoors needed to be more than a once-in-a-while thing. If you can relate to anything we're talking about, scroll on to the gallery below for a look at our favorite new spot to work outdoors. Depending on where you're coming from in the valley, it might take you 20-to-25 minutes to get there, but trust us—it's worth it!
