Twin Falls Rescue Responding To Fall Victim Near Perrine Bridge

The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, along with rescue crew members, responded to the Snake River Canyon Thursday morning just after 6 A.M. to assist an individual who reportedly fell 50 feet near the visitor center. We have learned that the man who fell has passed away from his injuries.

Reports of a male fall victim started coming in on social media shortly after 6 AM on Thursday (July 30). A communication thread formed on the Twin Falls / Magic Valley Scanner page, where witnesses near the canyon described the situation.

'I watched Life Flight search the water this morning. They just brought out the search and rescue boat to Centennial. Lots of sirens. Was wondering what happened. Prayers for all,' said one local.

'Yeah, there's tons of emergency vehicles at the visitor center,' said another local on the Meta page shortly after 7:30 A.M. The visitor center is located near the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls and was full of emergency service vehicles responding to the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been made public. I was able to confirm that search and rescue did respond to a call of a victim who fell a great distance near the visitor center and died from injuries. There have been reports of at least one helicopter on scene as well.

The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office also provided an update shortly after 9 A.M.
