Is Kim Kardashian Reigniting Her Feud With Taylor Swift?
Has the release of Taylor Swift's cutting Reputation struck a nerve with Kim Kardashian? Some Swifties are convinced Kardashian's trying to stir up trouble with Swift, the seeming nemesis of her husband, Kanye West.
Kardashian, credited with engineering July 2016's "Taylor Swift Is Over Party," posted an Instagram photo last night (December 4) in which she posed alongside the set of West's "Famous" music video, which infamously includes a nude rendering of Swift alongside the likes of mockups of Donald Trump, Rihanna and Amber Rose.
Swifties instantly flooded Kardashian's comments section with pictures of rats — a seeming answer to a similar previous trend in Swift's comments, which found Kardashian's fans leaving floods of snake emojis.
"THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS," one Swiftie wrote in Kardashian's comments, while another noted "No, we don't like you."
Swift and Kardashian seemed to be on good terms until the release of West's "Famous" last year, which includes the lyrics "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous." Swift initially feigned dismay upon the song's release, and claimed it was a violation, but Kardashian later provided video evidence that Swift had heard the song in advance, and even endorsed West's track, telling him: "I really appreciate you telling me about it. That's really nice."
Swift ultimately clarified that her horror was rooted in being called "That bitch," a term about which she claimed West had never forewarned her. Her related Instagram note spawned the infamous "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative" line.
Swift has also taken apparent shots at West and Kardashian across her newest LP in response to the back-and-forth.
