A Whole Pig Showed Up at an Idaho Animal Shelter; Can You Help Get Him Home?
It's no secret that here in Idaho--most residents are full fledged 'animal people'. Take a stroll anywhere and you're bound to see someone walking their dog...or dogs!
When it comes to resources for our local animals, many communities rely on their local animal shelters to assist. Whether it is for affordable care, adoption, or finding lost pets--our local shelters are stellar.
The West Valley Humane Society, located in Caldwell, is always doing great work for local animals and every now and then--they have a knack for going viral over a social media post. Sometimes it is a heart wrenching story of a pet that needs a home and sometimes it is just the most adorable photo of one of their adoptable animals.
Today--the West Valley Facebook page is getting lots of eye balls for another reason.
A pig--yes, a real life pig, strolled in to West Valley Humane Society and is looking for his home.
In their post on Facebook, the social media team from West Valley Humane Society said:
Animal Control delivered this surprise guest to West Valley Humane Society, and while he’s cute enough to stay forever… we’re guessing his real family might be missing him! If this little piggy didn’t go to market but went missing instead, call us at (208) 455-5920 or stop by 5801 Graye Lane, Caldwell, ID 83607.Proof of ownership required before any happy reunions!
We're so grateful that there's a local animal shelter in Caldwell like the West Valley Humane Society
As of the afternoon on Monday, October 13th, this little piggy still hasn't made his way home to his family.
Have any info? West Valley is seeking help in getting him back to where he belongs!
