I'm a car guy. While some car guys tend to be one dimensional, I love and own all kinds of cars. I own cars in multiple categories including Exotic, JDM, Resto Mod and Classic. This weekend is a big weekend for the Hot Rod, Classic and Resto Mod crowd. The Boise Roadster show is back for the 48th annual exhibition at the Expo Idaho. Ladies if you're not a gear head this is a perfect excuse for some "mom time". Do yourself a favor and take this opportunity to get rid of the boys (husband and kids alike). Send them to the show and tell them that they're welcomed to go back the next day. I know this sounds like you're being a bit mean but this is a classic "win, win situation". The 48th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Boise Roadster Show returns Friday thru Sunday, March 12-14. Presented by Les Schwab Tires, the show features many top hot rods, radical customs, wicked street machines, hot trucks, motorcycles and more. As Idaho’s premiere motorsport’s experience, the event will fill all three buildings at the Expo Idaho indoor facility.
Every entry that participates in the show wins an award. The top prize of the Roadster Show is known coast-to-coast as the Goldmark. The Goldmark will go to the one entry deemed “Best of the Best’. The grand prize is $1,000 in cash, along with an embroidered jacket and special award statue. The “Essence of Cool”, Trendsetter, Wild One, Fire Rod, Mighty Fine, Tompkins Cup, Jack’s Pick and more will also be handed out during the award ceremonies.
A tradition at the Roadster Show every March, the New family will also induct an honoree for the Master-Builder award, too. This special recognition plaque is presented to a person who has helped to positively influence, shape and make the Roadster Show a better event year-over-year.
