When was the last time that BSU did not have a football season? Nobody wanted to think about that question or the possibility of that happening this year. Surprise! say hello to our COVID-19 infected world. The Mountain West Conference has decided to cancel all fall sports including football as of today. The Mid-American Conference cancelled their fall sports due to the pandemic on Saturday and it didn't take long for the The Mountain West to follow.

MAC Commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher said in a press conference. "This is not an easy decision, but it's the right decision."

"There are simply too many unknowns to put our student athletes in situations that are not easily understood"

In a KTVB interview... Boise State Athletic Director Curt Aspey said, "Despite everything that has been thrown in their way over the last several months, our student-athletes, coaches and staff had been preparing for a 2020 season. They were ready for every possible uncertainty, but in the end, the physical and mental well-being of student-athletes across the conference necessitated today's announcement."

Spring Football anyone? The rumors are out there but nothing is remotely close to being confirmed.
