You read that correct, after a 6 year hiatus Good Charlotte is putting out a new album

Good Charlotte has been around since 1995 but didn't really make it big until 2002 with their album The Young and the Hopeless. I would be lying if I didn't say they had a big effect in my formative years. I listened to that album religiously and it helped my angst as I transition to high school and also into being a teenager.

I mean look at this picture below and tell me that doesn't scream early 2000's at you. And their music had this super alternative feel to it, but also a tinge of punk and hip-hop. Such as "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" or "The Anthem"

I'm excited to hear what this album sounds like especially when in an official statement they say "The new album is like our previous albums in that it’s for people who love music and are constantly motivated and trying to live a rad life. Everyone has something to prove to themselves, waking up every day and deciding to change their life for the better and help others do the same.” It sounds like its going to be a good passion project. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
