Having grown up in Nampa, The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic was one event that I have always been aware of but never attended until moving back to the Treasure Valley last summer. I remember seeing all of the hot air balloons on the morning news, and as I got older, getting to see some as I drove into Boise for school at Bishop Kelly, but honestly I never really knew about the festivities that went on at Ann Morrison Park.

As you may or may not know, this years balloon classic kick off Wednesday and I hope you'll make plans to come down to the park and see what it is all about-- don't miss out like I did for so long!

After being at the festival each day last summer, I would recommend Friday evening, or "Night Glow" the most! It's a great time, family friendly (as is the whole festival week), but really stands out because of how amazing all of the balloons look at night when they light up.  With special guest balloons from Star Wars, this year is sure to be a great attraction, especially if you've got kids that enjoy the Star Wars movies!

Night Glow will start around 6:00 p.m. Friday evening, but as you wait for the sun to begin to set, I hope you'll join me over at The Tailgate Sports Bar and Grill from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The restaurant is just a hop, skip, and jump from the main event inside Ann Morrison park and we'll be giving away everything from Life in Color tickets to our limited edition LED KISSFM fidget spinners!  I hope to see you there!
