Cue that scene from 'The Office' where Michael Scott returns to work from Jamaica and can't stop singing "feeling hot, hot, hot". The heatwave here in Boise has been real, as after a rather slow start to the summer temperatures the sun has seemingly arrived and really wants us to know that it is here.

With temperatures well over 100 degrees set for this week and most likely, beyond, an al out war has been declared and Indian Creek Plaza is asking for everyone to come on out with their best super soakers in hand!

Interested in joining this super (soaker) fun event!?

The ultimate cool down, clash of the super soakers will be taking place at downtown Caldwell's Indian Creek Plaza on Wednesday, July 26th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

While the event won't be happening during peak heat, this is going to be a really great chance to get the kids out of the house to make some friends and have some fun this summer. The post shared by Indian Creek Plaza does not designate that the event is for certain ages, so from what we can tell, you're more than welcome to bring your own soaker and get the kids back, too!

We're all excited for this Super Soaker Showdown--but with the heat that we have been experiencing here in Boise this week, there's no need to wait until the 26th to cool off. Check out these free cool-off options in the Boise area
