Popular TV Stars Coming To Idaho In Support Of 9-Yr-Old Girl’s Family

Most of us have heard the tragic story by now of 9-year-old Shaylny Bergesen of Rexburg, Idaho who died last week after falling out of a tree in her backyard and landing on a piece of rebar.

Just came across this story on East Idaho News and I LOVE it!  Heavy D who stars on the popular Discovery Channel's 'Diesel Brothers' just released a video expressing his support and compassion for the rest of the family.

The Bergeson family are huge fans of Diesel Brothers and that's ultimately what got these two together.  Heavy D heard not only about Shayln's story but how this family had another young daughter who passed away just a few short years ago due to a chromosome disorder.

What I’m about to tell you is probably one of the most heartbreaking stories I’ve ever heard in my life.  What really hit me, made this story much more difficult to hear, was that a couple years ago, this same family lost another little girl. So what that does it takes a beautiful family of five and whittles it down to three.

I want the Bergeson family to know that you're not alone and we really care about you and we’re going to come and see you.

Shayln ended up saving four lives and giving sight to another person in her tragic death by donating her heart, kidneys, liver, and corneas.  Her funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Salem LDS Chapel. Visiting hours with the family will be Wednesday night from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
