I was thinking today and realized this-- I don't recall every going into or buying anything from a Sears.  Nothing against the store, it just wasn't one that my parents went to as a kid and frankly--I've never had a need to go into one. I do know, however, that there's one in the Boise Towne Square Mall...but not for long.

Just this week, Sears Holdings filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy which will close over 140 stores nationwide. One of the stores effected is the one that you may have shopped at over the years at the Boise Towne Square Mall.

As of right now, there's no set date for closure that has been announced to the public but here's what we do know for sure: it's closing.

First, this is totally unfortunate for the employees of the store. I wish all of them nothing but the best as they begin seeking new work.

If you're a bargain shopper however--do expect some liquidation sales. In other words, they're going to need everything gone. We'll keep you posted as this develops.
