This outrages me out that this is the SECOND time in two days a taxi driver was robbed at gun point and had their cab stolen.  I've got a lot of love and admiration for the taxi drivers in the Boise.  The one thing that all of us at 103.5 KISS FM agree on is if we go out, we do NOT let each other drive.  Ever.  It's these hard working men and women that get our happy butts home after enjoying a few drinks downtown.  The last thing they should have to worry about is being placed in danger by their passengers.

According to our friends at KTVB, a Boise City Taxi driver called police shortly before midnight on Wednesday night saying that two men had held him a gun point, deserted him in Kuna and stole his wallet and cab.  Thankfully the Boise City Taxis are all equipped with GPS so it made it easy for police to track the cab to Downtown Boise, where it refused to stop and rammed four police cars during the pursuit.

The police were eventually able to stop the vehicle near the Depot and arrested the two suspects inside of it.  The 20 and 25 year old men include multiple charges for armed robbery and grand theft.  The driver also faces assault on an officer charges.

No officers were injured.  One of the suspects was taken to the hospital.  The cab driver?  He's ok, but no surprise he's really freaked out.  There's no word if last night's incident was connected to a similar incident involving an ABC Taxi that was stolen and deserted in Downtown Boise the night before.
