Living in Boise, if you ask us, is simply the best. When we say Boise, of course, we mean the entire 'metro' area--the greater Treasure Valley. Here in our area, the people are kind, safety is a top priority, and there is always something fun going on for just about anyone.

All of this said, we also can't ignore our weather. While it's never the same from hour to hour--it also isn't the same throughout the year. While us locals can joked that Idaho's weather is totally unpredictable and often a little "bipolar"--having four very distinct seasons can be what makes us so special!

There is a fifth season, however. Construction season.

October is nearly over and with Winter straight ahead, there seems to be more construction cones out than normal for this time of the year. Maybe it's just our perception--but either way, cold temperatures don't mean that construction stops.

Detour after detour, we all seem to be finding ourselves needing to re-route our daily travels or commutes because a LOT of work is being done on our roads. Sometimes, driving to places that we frequent often is like muscle memory-- how many times have you found yourself turning around at the same closure sign because you forgot about the road work!?

We recently found out that ACHD has an amazing, living, and interactive map of roadwork that any driver in the Treasure Valley can (and should) use! The map shows projects, their progress, and even what's coming up!
