Sobering Reminder to be Aware on Boise Roads
This morning, news hit of an accident that took place off of Cole road that claimed the life of an 80-year-old female pedestrian.
The Boise Police Department is investigating a crash in which they say a driver struck a woman Friday night.
It happened just after 10 p.m. at South Cole Road and West Hummel Drive.
A preliminary investigation shows that a woman in her 80s was walking across Cole Rd. and was in the roadway when she was struck by a vehicle that was headed south on Cole. She was taken to the hospital, where she died as a result of injuries from the crash.
It's a horrific reminder to stay alert when driving. I know personally how fast an accident could happen. A year ago I was driving in downtown Portland when a biker came out of nowhere. I hit him, he went flying. Honestly, I thought I killed him. It was the scariest moment of my life. Luckily for both of us, he only suffered minor bumps and bruises because of the crash. Stay alert out there Boise.
