Been putting off that medical exam or treatment because you don't have insurance? One college in the Treasure Valley is stepping up to help.

KBOI reports Idaho State University is going to offer assistance in the form of free flu shots, physical exams, dental exams, and more at a community health screening on September 21st. On top of that, the Idaho Food Bank will be offering free boxes of food to those in need who come for a free screening.

The screenings and services will be administered by faculty and student clinicians, which includes:

  • Medication reviews
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Dental health evaluation
  • Depression screening
  • HIV and hepatitis C tests
  • and more

If you can't make it to ISU on the 21st, fear not. This is the first of six free screening days happening between now and April of next year.
