Subaru Recalls Almost Half a Million Vehicles: Check VIN Number Here
We have another recall Idaho. Looks like Subaru is recalling close to 500,000 vehicles due to another airbag issue.
I feel like every recall I've seen lately including one on my Jeep pertains to faulty airbags. These Subaru models have also fallen victim to defect.
The Japanese automaker is recalling their Subarus over Takata made air bag inflators that are being used as temporary fixes. These vehicles range from years 2003 to 2014 that involve Forester, Baja, Impreza, WRX, Legacy and Outback models. The recall also includes the 2005-2006 Saab 9-2x that is also made by Subaru for General Motors.
How many airbags is that? Can you say a lot? That's over $10 Million air bag inflators. The drivers side is okay this only pertains to the passenger side air bag. The driver side wasn't equipped with the same type of air bag. Odd right?
