Every Tuesday Mateo and I head out in search of the perfect tacos because after all what would a Taco Tuesday be without tacos? It’s important for me to mention that we do not accept free food. We do not want to be swayed or in any way feel like we have to report anything other than the truth. Our thought process is that before you try a place we can give you an indicator and you can avoid paying for bad food. I hate paying for bad food, I know “hate” is a strong word but it’s true… I hate paying for bad food.

Today we got a tip from the same guy that introduced us to Tacos El Chavo ( 5 taco recipient). Taqueria La Flama on Fairview turned out to be an outstanding experience. The place was clean, the service was good and the tacos were great! As always we ordered a Carne asada, Pollo (chicken – btw they actually have marinated grilled chicken as opposed to other places that just offer shredded). We also ordered an Adobada taco for consistency in our comparison. All three of the selections had me ordering seconds. These tacos are absolutely filled with flavor and their respective meats were tender. This will be one of your favorite spots. Like Mateo frequently says… Plot twist… La Flama offers Mulitas which are basically a sandwich that uses toasted tortillas as the bun (I’m sure there is a better way to describe it ) but my point is that these are heavenly and a must as part of your meal at La Flama. Mateo gives it 4.8 out of 5 tacos and I’m going to call it 5 out of 5 tacos.
