I looked and looked at the laws that I could find on the Idaho Government website but it didn't have a clear answer so I called the Boise Police Department and Officer Cooper was kind enough to talk me through it a bit more.

You're getting paid and it's the law. If you are making less than $47,476 a year, you must be considered hourly and get paid time and a half for working more than 40 hours a week.

You wouldn't expect this "job" to require no license
