This should really piss off all the vegetarians (Kat) and the trendy eaters in 2019. Then again, who doesn't love great guacamole from Barbacoa? Well, there's a recall.

You might not have noticed this alert with all the breaking news late Friday surrounding the Mueller report. Don't worry because you didn't miss anything significant other than everyone continuing to argue over Trump. Just another day in Amerrrica! Back to the Avocado crisis (a true societal tragedy in the making.)

Avocados have been pulled from shelves in 6 states and luckily Idaho isn't one, yet. I'm not sure if you're like me but anytime there is a recall I'm just pulling stuff off the shelf. I can't deal. I'll give you the states and also show you what to look for just in case.

A California based company, Henry Avocado is recalling their Avocadoes in precaution of Listeria monocytogenes. I'm gonna list the effects and then you might understand the reasoning on why a company wouldn't take any chances.

  • Could lead to serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people, and others with a weak immune system.
  • Healthy people could still suffer from severe headaches, high fevers nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
  • This infection could cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

If you live in Arizona, California, Flordia, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Wisconsin you should immediately toss your Avocadoes. If you live in Idaho you're safe. Just as a precaution though, when looking at your healthy fatty friends in those bins you might keep an eye out for these stickers.

I think it's also important to report that no cases of anyone getting sick have been found. This is just a precaution. If you see one of these California, Bravocados make their way into your basket you have officially been warned.

Better to be safe than sorry.
