Ford Drivers In Idaho: Your Vehicle May Be A Fire Risk
If you thought we were going to get through January 2026 without a massive vehicle recall, well, you were wrong. It feels like every time you turn around, there's another major auto manufacturer recalling a bunch of vehicles. Have you dodged the last few recalls we've had?
If you drive a Ford, today may not be your day.
What's going on with my Ford? How do I know if my vehicle is recalled?
First off, here's what's happening.
Ford is recalling over 120,000 vehicles due to a potential fire risk stemming from defective engine block heaters. Which is, in a word, not good.
Just some of the vehicles recalled include:
- Ford Focus
- Ford Escape
- Lincoln MKC
- Ford Explorer
Before we move forward: Owners are being warned not to plug in block heaters until repairs have been made. So, ya know, don't plug the thing in, okay?
Seeing your make and model above will probably leave you feeling a tad anxious, and we get it. No worries. You can check here to see if your specific vehicle is currently under recall.
You can also contact Ford customer service: 1-866-436-7332.
The good news is, dealers will replace said defective block heaters for free! So, make sure you contact them.
