This Is How Fit Idaho Is Compared To The Rest Of The Country
Idaho is, for us, probably the best place on planet Earth to get outside and connect with nature. If you're a person who enjoys moving around and getting some fresh air, you're absolutely in the right place.
But, are people even doing that?
Idaho ranked above California, Oregon, and Washington on 'The Fittest States In America 2024' study.
According to a new study, it looks like Idahoans are doing something to keep their heart rates up. Said study ranked Idaho 16th overall in the country when it comes to overall fitness among citizens.
California ranked 24th, Oregon ranked 14th, and Washington ranked 19th. All surprisingly close, if you ask us!
The study was based on a multitude of criteria, including:
- Self-reported aerobic activity
- Self-reported strength activity
- Gyms per capita
- Internet searches for "home workouts"
If you're curious, Colorado ranked most-fit, while West Virginia finished dead last.

Would your fitness journey be just a little bit more achievable if it were less expensive to get in shape? What if there were a gym that was willing to pay you to show up and work out?
Yes, that idea sounds insane, until you read about what this Boise gym:

Maybe it'd be simplest if you actually lived in the gym. Well, that's exactly the case with this old high school gym that was turned into a full-on living space.
That way, you never have to make an excuse for not making it to the gym! Which sounds terrible, since avoiding working out is always so enticing.
